Each ascot is handmade from Italian silk near Lake Como. Two equally sized pointed ends are joined by a narrower centre section, creating the length and shape needed for traditional ascot and day-cravat knots.
Casual ascot ties: Also called day cravats, these are worn inside an open shirt collar. They provide a polished middle ground when leaving the neck bare feels too casual but a standard tie feels too formal.
Formal ascot ties: A purple or plum ascot can also be worn outside the shirt for weddings, race meetings and other traditional occasions. Deeper plum creates a restrained effect, while lavender and magenta make a more noticeable statement.
